Pleasure Driving
Schooling Show Series
|
Would you like to see
the return of NHS
Pleasure Driving
Schooling Shows? We
need a facility suitable
to hold our Driving
shows. Most of our NHS
Schooling Shows are held
at our local park
equestrian rings.
However, the footing in
the park rings, although
suitable for other
disciplines, it is too
deep for driving.
If you know of a
facility in the greater
Prince William County
area suitable for our
driving show contact
Scott Helberg at
scott.helberg@verizon.net
or 703-855-4011; or Jeff
Shoup at
jeffshoup@comcast.net
or 703-402-3726

Don’t
have a horse? Want to try it any way? A limited number
of miniature horses will be available to use in the
pleasure driving clinics.
Not
ready to do the schooling show? Volunteer at our
show and enjoy a great opportunity to learn all about
driving from one of the best, our own Martha Duchnowski.
Martha has won countless awards for driving and is
recognized as one of the best driving instructors in the
region. The NHS is blessed to have Martha as our
Pleasure Schooling Show Series Manager. To
volunteer, contact Martha or just show up day of the
show.
Our show
is a fantastic opportunity to bring out that green horse
or that green driver. The experienced driver can use our
schooling show as a great opportunity to get some more
miles in a low key, low pressure fun competition. This
event is open to all equines, all types of vehicles and
harness. We are encouraging drafts, donkeys, Mules and
minis to come in addition to the usual horses and
ponies. Auditors and auditing equines welcome. Please make sure that your vehicle and harness
is in good working condition and reasonably clean.
Any vendor with an emphasis in driving is welcome to come
at no charge. Please contact Martha Duchnowski to make
arrangements.
